Dynamo Ultras' Demands
The Dynamo Kyiv ultras have called for Volodymyr "Orden" Yakovenko to be included in prisoner exchange lists. He has been held captive for nearly four years. Yakovenko is a veteran of the Aidar and Azov volunteer battalions and defended the Azovstal plant. He was illegally sentenced to 18 years in a strict-regime colony. According to the ultras, he has a Group II disability and an aortic prosthesis following heart surgery, requiring constant medical supervision that is unavailable in captivity.
'Our brother-in-arms and legend of the white-and-blue movement, Volodymyr Orden Yakovenko, has been in captivity for almost four years. Volodymyr is a veteran of Aidar and Azov, a defender of Azovstal. The occupiers recently illegally sentenced him to 18 years in a strict-regime colony. Volodymyr is a Group II disabled person. He has an aortic prosthesis after a complex heart surgery. He needs constant medical supervision and medication, which are not available in captivity.'
The ultras also stress the importance of repatriating seriously ill prisoners of war under Articles 109-110 of the Geneva Convention, which mandate their immediate and unconditional repatriation without delay. 'We stayed silent for a long time for safety reasons, but now it is time to speak out loudly. Every day of delay is a risk to the life of a legend of our movement,' representatives of the ultras stated.
