Ukrainian soldiers surprised everyone when they managed to shoot down a Russian missile 'Iskander-K' on the night of September 7. They used an anti-aircraft installation - a rare occurrence in air defense, reported 'Glavcom'.

The shootdown occurred during a Russian air raid on the capital. The Ground Forces described it as 'great luck multiplied by great skill.'

The missile was shot down thanks to the fighters of the anti-aircraft rocket artillery division of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. They even published a video of the missile destruction, humorously signing it: 'shot down with a ZU that is older than your father.'

Russian Airstrike on the Village of Yarova in Donetsk Region

The village of Yarova in Donetsk region came under Russian airstrike during pension distribution, leading to the death of over 20 people. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky himself.

'The Russian airstrike with a bomb on the village of Yarova is absolute barbarism. The airstrike was launched directly at peaceful residents at the most inappropriate moment - during the pension distribution. The scene is horrific - over 20 dead. There are no words... I express condolences to all relatives and loved ones of the deceased,' the president stated.

Zelensky emphasized that the world cannot fail to respond to such actions by Russia. He stressed that the Russians continue to take lives but avoid strong sanctions.

Events in Ukraine indicate an escalation of the conflict between Ukrainian forces and Russian terrorists. Ukrainian soldiers were able to surprise the world with the accuracy of their strike on the Russian missile 'Iskander-K', but Russian attacks on the civilian population continue to cause human casualties.
