Wildberries Distribution Center Targeted
Wildberries is one of Russia's largest online retailers. In the early hours of August 5, a drone hit its distribution center in Alexin, a town in the Tula region. The resulting fire engulfed a large part of the logistics complex, which measures roughly 194,500 square meters. The regional governor confirmed the drone strike, but local authorities have not disclosed the scale of the damage.
This incident marks the eighth time Ukrainian drones have struck one of Wildberries' 15 biggest warehouses. The company's logistics network has come under systematic attack since July. On a previous evening, drones damaged both the Syzran oil refinery and another Wildberries depot, and the retailer also lost a key hub near Vladimir.
Logistics Under Pressure
According to analysts, the repeated strikes on Wildberries' supply chain signal an escalation of hostilities in the region and could significantly disrupt the company's operations. With logistics efficiency already deteriorating, close attention will be paid to how Russian authorities respond to these incidents.
