UPL Coaching Staff for the 2025/26 Season

During the 2025/26 season, 20 different coaches worked with clubs in the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). Among them were 16 Ukrainian specialists and 4 foreign coaches. This season also saw the arrival of 8 debutants in the top division, reflecting notable shifts in the coaching landscape.

Managerial Changes

Head coaching changes occurred at four clubs:

  • Oleksandriya
  • Dynamo
  • Karpaty
  • Kudrivka

Each of these clubs made only one change during the campaign. The oldest coach of the season was Pavlo Matviychenko, aged 56, who managed the club 'Poltava'. The youngest was Oleksandr Protchenko, aged 33, who led 'Kudrivka'.

These managerial adjustments across UPL clubs may point to a broader strategy of adapting to new conditions and challenges. Introducing fresh faces into coaching roles can influence playing styles and team results, potentially raising the overall competitive level of the league. Such developments could play a key role in the ongoing evolution of Ukrainian football.

As the coaching landscape shifts, it's interesting to note the impact on player dynamics within the league. This season, nearly 500 players showcased their talents in the UPL, highlighting the depth and competitiveness of the tournament.
