Transfer of state real estate for IDPs
The government of Ukraine has decided to transfer state real estate and seized assets for the accommodation of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The first approved list includes 112 objects. This step is aimed at improving living conditions for people who have been forced to leave their homes due to various circumstances.
The distribution of premises among responsible authorities will be completed by the end of January. It is expected that people will be able to use this housing in the first quarter of 2026. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has been instructed to audit objects that have not been used in the educational process for the past year. A mechanism for transferring such assets to new managers for a symbolic 1 hryvnia has been created.
Scaling the program
The next stage of scaling the program is planned for the coming month. This initiative aims to provide internally displaced persons with affordable housing and improve their situation in the context of a challenging socio-economic situation.
