Changes to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses

The Government of Ukraine has approved changes to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, which strengthen liability for violations of financial legislation. The bill proposes increasing fines for first and repeated offenses, as well as establishing a one-year period for bringing to responsibility.

New fines and periods of liability

In particular, the fine for the first offense is proposed to be increased from 136-255 UAH to 850-1190 UAH. For repeated offenses within a year, the fine is planned to be raised from 170-340 UAH to 1020-1360 UAH. It is also proposed to establish a clear period for bringing to responsibility — 1 year from the date of the offense.

The document will soon be submitted for consideration by the Parliament. #Minfin #financialcontrol #fines

The adoption of these changes indicates the government's focus on strengthening financial discipline in the country and combating financial violations. Increasing fines and introducing clear deadlines for bringing to responsibility can become effective tools for improving compliance with financial norms and rules, which, in turn, will contribute to strengthening Ukraine's financial system.
