The government has raised the issue of accessibility of prosthetics and orthotics for children with disabilities and civilians affected by the war. This was made possible by a resolution from the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, which was adopted on December 17.
In particular, a twofold upper limit has been established for various types of prosthetics and orthotics, allowing people access to modern and functional products with the possibility of reimbursement from the state. Opportunities have also been expanded for children to receive specific types of prosthetics and other necessary rehabilitation aids.
These changes are aimed at ensuring stable and high-quality prosthetics for those affected, promoting their social integration, as envisioned by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine.
