Increase in salaries for social workers
The government of Ukraine has made a decision to raise the salaries of specialists in social and rehabilitation services, which will take effect on January 1, 2026. The resolution was adopted on December 26, 2025, and provides for a significant increase in base payments, which will amount to approximately 150%.
New salaries
According to the new conditions, a coefficient of 2.5 has been approved to determine the size of salaries. This means that salaries for:
- social managers will increase from UAH 8,243 to UAH 20,607;
- social work specialists will increase from UAH 6,773 to UAH 16,932;
- junior medical sisters will rise from UAH 4,058 to UAH 10,145.
Denys Ulyutin, commenting on this initiative, stated: 'Increasing the pay of social workers is a step towards fair support for those who support others every day.'
These changes aim to improve the working conditions of specialists involved in social assistance and rehabilitation.
