Improving Business Access to Financing
During the Kyiv International Economic Forum, Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky revealed that the government is actively working on increasing the availability of credit for businesses. He emphasized that one of the government's top priorities is to provide enterprises with the essential funding support that the state can offer.
"Enhancing business access to financial resources is crucial. While banking regulations play a key role, our primary focus remains on safeguarding the nation," Koretsky stated.
He further added, "This is a collective effort. We recognize the potential to do more, and that is exactly what we are pursuing."
Significance of Government Measures
Expanding credit availability represents a vital strategy for Ukraine’s economic recovery amid ongoing challenges. By facilitating increased investment and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, these measures are expected to drive sustainable growth. Such government initiatives also contribute to strengthening the country’s financial stability and boosting confidence in its banking system.
Access to affordable financing is a critical factor for business resilience and development, particularly in emerging markets like Ukraine where economic reforms are ongoing.
