The Cabinet of Ukraine decided to streamline the work of the Bureau of Economic Security by appointing Alexander Civinskiy as its head after successfully passing a polygraph test. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sveridenko expressed hope for an improvement in the Bureau's activities and an increase in trust between it and Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

News also emerged about negotiations between Trump and the Russian president, which were fruitful, and about the imposition of tariffs on goods from India due to the purchase of Russian oil. Political changes are also relevant to Poland, where a corruption scheme in the government was uncovered.
