Повернення коштів за паливо продовжено до травня 2026 року: які вигоди чекають на українців

Fuel Cashback Program Extended

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the fuel cashback program through May 31, 2026. Starting May 1, the maximum monthly compensation per user will reach up to 500 hryvnias. Launched on March 20, the initiative has already enabled over 2 million Ukrainians to receive fuel cashback payments. This effort is part of the broader National Cashback state program, which now includes more than 4.8 million active participants.

Program Terms and Fuel Prices

Under the program's conditions, cashback rates for fuel are as follows:

  • 15% for diesel fuel
  • 10% for gasoline
  • 5% for autogas

Among program users, 91% own budget-class cars with small engine capacities. A total of 219 gas station operators have joined the initiative, ensuring broad access for consumers.

As of April 29, 2026, major gas station networks in Ukraine have kept fuel prices unchanged. The average cost of A-95 gasoline is about 73.03 hryvnias per liter, while diesel fuel averages 88.03 hryvnias per liter. Through the cashback program, consumers can save up to 11 hryvnias per liter on diesel, roughly 7 hryvnias on gasoline, and 2 hryvnias on autogas. Meanwhile, diesel prices in Ukraine have risen by 33.9%, though diesel supply volumes remain at 2025 levels.

There is no diesel fuel shortage, nor is one expected.

Serhiy Kuyun

Commenting on the program's launch, Oleksiy Sobolev emphasized that 'the Cabinet of Ministers introduced fuel cashback because it does not affect support for the army and provides assistance to those most in need of financial help due to rising fuel prices.'

To receive cashback, consumers can follow a few simple steps:

  • Open a payout card at one of the partner banks
  • Select cards for paying for purchases
  • Grant the bank permission to share transaction data from participating stores
  • Install or update the Diia app, then choose the National Cashback payout card in the 'Services' section

Thus, the fuel cashback program continues to serve as a vital tool for supporting Ukrainian motorists under current conditions.

The extension of the fuel cashback program reflects the Ukrainian government's efforts to support the population amid economic instability and rising fuel prices. Given that most program users own budget vehicles, the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on the most vulnerable groups, which is especially relevant in light of today's challenges. The program also fosters greater competition among gas station operators and could positively influence Ukraine's overall fuel market.

In addition to the extended cashback program, Ukrnafta is set to enhance its fuel station network, aiming to improve accessibility for consumers across Ukraine. This expansion aligns with the government's efforts to provide financial relief amidst rising fuel costs, further supporting the growing number of cashback program participants.
