Latest developments at Ukraine's Ministry of Finance
In its newest digest, the ministry spotlights several major updates. France's new ambassador to Ukraine, Brice Roquefeuil, met with Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, and their discussion focused on bilateral cooperation, especially economic ties.
The ministry and UNICEF are also taking steps to deepen collaboration on public financial management and human capital support, with the goal of improving living standards and expanding social programs.
Government approves three draft laws
The Cabinet has given the green light to three draft laws:
- the first aligns audit-related legislation with EU law,
- the second introduces sustainability reporting in Ukraine,
- the third concerns ratification of the Ukraine–Australia Convention on eliminating double taxation.

Marchenko's meeting with the newly appointed French ambassador may signal Ukraine's intention to strengthen economic ties with the European Union, especially amid present-day challenges.
The broader UNICEF engagement underscores the government's focus on social development and support for citizens. In a similar way, the approved draft laws advance Ukraine's strategic course toward European standards and greater investment attractiveness. Together, these actions reflect a sustained effort to deepen integration with EU rules and international partners.
