Bonus Payments for Repair and Restoration Brigade Workers

The Ukrainian government has allocated funds for bonus payments to workers on repair and restoration crews for their work in February and March. These crews are tasked with restoring critical infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced that over 14,000 workers will each receive a bonus of 20,000 hryvnias.

A total of 281.3 million hryvnias has been allocated for these payments, with identical bonuses planned for March. The funds will be transferred by the employers to the bank accounts of the workers involved in emergency restoration efforts. This work, often conducted under severe winter conditions, remains ongoing due to persistent daily enemy attacks. These payments are a critical part of the government's support for those maintaining essential services during the war.

Primary Workforce Involved

The primary personnel carrying out this vital work are:

  • Energy sector workers,
  • Utility workers,
  • Gas industry workers,
  • Railway workers.

These bonuses are part of the government's efforts to support the personnel responsible for repairing the country's critical infrastructure, which has been heavily damaged by the ongoing conflict. The importance of these payments underscores the need to ensure the stability and operation of essential services under the difficult conditions of war, which in turn supports the daily lives of the population and the functioning of the national economy.
