Installing Net Corridors on Kherson's Key Highways

To counter drone threats, the Ukrainian government has set aside 96 million UAH for the installation of protective net corridors along priority roads in the Kherson region. So far, 190 kilometers of anti-drone nets have been deployed, aiming to safeguard civilians and facilitate the transport of humanitarian supplies. This work is being carried out using funds from the Kherson Regional Military Administration in partnership with Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.

Additionally, a separate decision is currently being developed regarding a subsidy for road repairs—another critical factor for bolstering defense capabilities, enabling rapid evacuations, and ensuring the basic needs of communities and individuals. The ongoing installation of net corridors reflects a continuous effort to improve infrastructure amid wartime conditions.

Why Anti-Drone Nets Matter

Deploying anti-drone nets represents a vital step in enhancing security in an area exposed to aerial threats. These measures not only help protect civilians but also sustain humanitarian operations that are essential during the conflict. The potential additional funding for road repairs further underscores the government's commitment to strengthening infrastructure and maintaining mobility in crisis situations.
