Funding for Counter-Drone Measures

Ukraine's government has directed 96 million hryvnias from the state budget reserve fund to the Kherson Regional Military Administration. The money is intended to establish drone defense systems along routes used by military personnel, equipment, and supply convoys of the defense forces.

These decisions enable a rapid response to threats and reduce risks for both soldiers and civilians.

The allocation of funds for anti-drone protection highlights the pressing need for security measures, especially in areas vulnerable to aerial threats. This move also underscores the government's commitment to safeguarding both national defense forces and the civilian population—a critical priority amid the ongoing military challenges in Ukraine.

In light of the recent allocation of 96 million hryvnias for drone defense in the Kherson region, it's important to note that earlier this year, Ukraine also dedicated $2.6 million to enhance protective measures against drone attacks in the same area. This ongoing commitment to bolstering security reflects a broader strategy to ensure the safety of both military operations and civilian lives.
