Postponement of mandatory use of payment terminals

The government of Ukraine has postponed the mandatory use of payment terminals for individual entrepreneurs (FOP) of the 1st group until the end of martial law and for another three months after its repeal. This decision was made in response to appeals from small businesses facing difficulties during the war.

Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko emphasized that this decision aims to reduce the financial pressure on small businesses. She noted:

“This will allow the smallest entrepreneurs to operate and maintain income in wartime conditions, with interruptions in electricity supply and logistical constraints.” - Yuliya Svyrydenko

This decision is aimed at supporting entrepreneurs who are facing challenges in the current circumstances.

The importance of supporting small businesses

The postponement of mandatory use of payment terminals is an important step in supporting small businesses in Ukraine, especially during martial law. This decision will allow entrepreneurs to focus on running their business without additional financial burdens, which is critically important in the conditions of economic instability and restrictions caused by the war.

It is noted that supporting small businesses is one of the government’s priorities, which can positively impact the recovery of the economy after the conflict ends.
