The Ukrainian government has decided to support educators who face difficult conditions daily in frontline areas. They will receive a monthly supplement of 4000 hryvnias. This will improve their financial conditions and acknowledge the importance of their work amid the war.
In wartime, when the enemy tries to destroy us and our future, the work of Ukrainian teachers is more important than ever, as it is about raising our next generations - those who will develop the state further. At the same time, this work is more challenging than ever - under shelling, especially in frontline areas.
This support concerns 25 thousand educators from various areas of Ukraine who work on the front line. The government also plans to raise the salaries of all teaching staff by 50% next year. These steps were announced by Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko during a meeting with teachers that took place the day before Teacher's Day.
Meetings of this kind emphasize not only the importance of supporting educators but also highlight their great dedication and responsibility in the challenging conditions of modern Ukraine.
