Launch of the long-term medical care project for veterans
The Ukrainian government has decided to start a project for long-term medical care for veterans. This was announced by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. This project, which will collaborate with the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service, aims to expand the capabilities of medical institutions in providing long-term care services.
Long-term medical care services will be provided to patients who are marked by a low functional status on the Barthel scale of 30 points or less. The cost of services will depend on the level of patient dependence: for those with a high level of dependence – 5,452.52 hryvnias, and for those with a moderate level – 3,484.30 hryvnias.
The implementation of this project aims to improve the quality of life for veterans who require ongoing medical, rehabilitation, and social support, providing them access to necessary services and care.
