The government launches the electronic eCheck: what will change for buyers and businesses

Уряд презентує нову електронну перевірку: зміни для споживачів та підприємств.

Launch of the electronic eCheck

The government of Ukraine has launched the national electronic eCheck, which will simplify the interaction between buyers and sellers. The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution to launch this system, aimed at improving the purchase registration process and reducing administrative costs for businesses. The large-scale launch of the eCheck is scheduled for 2026.

The system is being developed by the Ministry of Economy in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Diia team, the Ministry of Finance, the Tax Service, and the National Bank of Ukraine. It is expected that the electronic check will become a convenient tool for users, as it will significantly simplify the process of purchasing and issuing checks.

Olexiy Sobolev noted that the digital check is convenient for people, reduces costs for businesses, and provides the state with more transparent data without additional control.

Importance of the electronic check

This initiative is aimed at modernizing the accounting and payment system, which in turn will positively impact the economy of the country.

The introduction of the electronic eCheck is an important step in the digitalization of Ukraine's economy, aligning with global trends in electronic payments. The implementation of this system can help reduce the shadow economy and increase tax revenues, ensuring greater transparency in financial transactions. Since the launch is scheduled for 2026, this allows time for testing the system and adapting businesses to new operating conditions.
