Launch of a Pilot Initiative
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is launching a pilot project to calculate the cost of public services using a new digital system on the Diia portal. This initiative is part of the State Anti-Corruption Program, designed to increase transparency and efficiency in the delivery of government services. This move is a significant part of Ukraine's broader digital transformation and anti-corruption efforts following Russia's full-scale invasion.
Data Collection Process
Data for the cost calculations will be gathered by staff from Administrative Service Centers (ASCs) and other state institutions. A specialized digital calculator will then perform automatic cost analysis, streamlining the process of determining service delivery expenses.
The pilot includes 18 popular services, such as:
- Passport issuance;
- Driver's license processing;
- Marriage registration;
- Residence registration;
- and others.
This step could significantly improve the management of state resources and enhance citizen services.
The introduction of this pilot project marks a crucial step for Ukraine in modernizing its public administration. Implementing digital technology in public service costing could establish a new foundation for administrative standards and anti-corruption measures.
