Новий статистичний план на 2026 рік: які нововведення чекають на українців

The State Statistical Observations Plan for 2026

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the plan for state statistical observations for 2026, which involves the implementation of experimental observations and ensuring that Ukrainian statistics meet European standards. The document defines the main statistical observations and official indicators that will be used during the specified period.

Planned Activities

Among the planned activities for 2026 are the assessment of the population based on data from mobile network operators, as well as statistics on income and living conditions within the EU-SILC project. A multi-indicator cluster household survey (MICS) is planned, which will provide more accurate data on the socio-economic living conditions of the population. Other important aspects include:

  • integrated short-term enterprise statistics;
  • integrated agricultural household statistics;
  • research on the activities of railway and aviation transport enterprises;
  • analysis of consumer prices based on administrative data and data from automated online resource surveys;
  • statistics on the implementation of scientific work and international assistance;
  • information on water resources, water supply, and wastewater treatment.

The first meeting of the special working group that will deal with the implementation of this plan took place on December 26. In the context of preparing for the upcoming elections in Ukraine, it is necessary to make changes to legislation. It is known that the upcoming elections may cost at least UAH 20 billion, while the last presidential elections in 2019 cost about UAH 2 billion. Thus, the statistical observations plan for 2026 will become an important tool for analyzing and assessing socio-economic processes in Ukraine in changing conditions.

The implementation of the new statistical observations plan is an important step towards increasing the transparency and reliability of statistical data in Ukraine. It will also help adapt Ukrainian statistics to European standards, which may positively influence international relations and the investment attractiveness of the country. In the context of the upcoming elections, accurate statistical data will be critically important for decision-making related to policy and economic development.
