The government of Ukraine has approved a new Procedure for responding to cases of violence and harsh treatment of children, developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of the Country. The purpose of this document is to identify, stop, and prevent violence against children.
The procedure envisages establishing a clear algorithm for response in all institutions where children may be present, including in educational, cultural, healthcare, social protection, sports establishments, and non-governmental organizations.

It is also stipulated that the head of the institution forms a Commission to address issues of violence, which ensures the child’s needs for support, access to psychological and educational services, provides recommendations, and monitors their implementation.
