The government approved new requirements for assessing the potential of communities. Now each community will be able to obtain an accurate assessment of its potential, security risks, and needs. This will allow the state to provide support for different types of territories, such as recovery areas, rural, mountainous, and others.
Olexiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister for Development of Communities and Territories, emphasized that this is an important step for fulfilling recommendations and commitments regarding the rights of the European Union.
“People should feel that recovery is happening fairly and according to real needs. The unified classification of territories will allow us to make decisions based on data, not assumptions. This means fewer chaotic decisions and more targeted assistance to the communities that need it most.”
The new system will allow for the equitable distribution of resources among communities, taking into account various aspects of influence on territories, accurately determining their needs and specialization, improving the quality of services, and attracting investments according to the needs of each community.
