The Cabinet of Ministers has decided on changes in the procedure for granting status to children affected by the war, reports 'Hlavkom' citing Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. Now, status can be obtained not only at the place of internal displacement but also at the place of application or where the child was discovered by local authorities. The list of grounds for obtaining it has also been expanded - among them deportation, forced displacement, death or disappearance of parents due to the war.
It is noted that more than 412 thousand children already have this status, but their number significantly exceeds this figure. More than a million children have been affected by the war, many of whom have experienced difficult life circumstances. The changes made are necessary to protect the rights of each child and ensure their well-being, warned the Prime Minister.
Ukrainians who have two or more minor children are entitled to a tax social benefit from the state. This program is aimed at helping families with children. Thus, if a family has two or more children under 18 years of age, part of their salary will not be subject to tax.
Changes in the procedure for granting status to children affected by the war allow for an expansion of the ability to obtain this status and cover more children who need support and protection. Tax benefits for large families will help reduce the financial burden on such families and promote support for children in their upbringing and development.
