Cabinet of Ministers Introduces New Policy

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has enacted a new measure for manufacturers of transformer equipment, granting them the right to shield 100% of their employees eligible for military service from mobilization. This policy is designed to preserve the workforce in a sector that is critically important for the nation's energy infrastructure. The move comes as Ukraine's energy grid has been a repeated target during the ongoing conflict.

Revised Criteria for Critical Enterprises

Under the updated regulations, companies involved in the production and repair of transformers can now apply to reserve all of their military-eligible staff. Furthermore, the number of criteria required for a company to be designated as critically important has been reduced from three to two. This streamlined process is expected to make it easier for many manufacturers to obtain this vital status, potentially bolstering their operational stability during a challenging period.

The Cabinet's decision aims to support the energy sector, which faces immense strain due to the war. Ensuring the stable operation of transformer equipment producers is crucial for maintaining national infrastructure and energy security. This step also helps protect jobs in a vital industry, a key concern amid ongoing hostilities and economic uncertainty.
