38 Targets Hit in Crimea: Drone Forces Detail Night Operation

Вечірня операція: безпілотники знищили ключові об'єкти в Криму

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Strike Deep in Crimea

In a major nighttime operation, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces targeted Russian military assets in occupied Crimea, hitting 38 sites. The strikes crippled fuel and energy infrastructure, logistics hubs, radar stations, and air defense systems, according to the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi. This coordinated assault marks one of the most extensive drone-led missions in the region since the start of the full-scale war.

Targets Hit

The operation destroyed three coastal radar stations:

  • An MR-231 unit in the settlement of Myrny,
  • Two Neva-B stations in Morske and Zaozerne.

Also struck was the Tavriyska Thermal Power Plant in Simferopol. Additionally, the attack damaged electrical substations:

  • A 330/220/110/35 kV substation in Sevastopol,
  • The 330 kV Simferopol substation.

An oil depot in Dzhankoi came under fire, along with two gas compressor stations near Zhuravlivka and Klyuchi. A ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun was hit close to the village of Kumove.

The mission involved the 1st and 20th separate centers of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the 9th Kairos Battalion of the 414th separate brigade of the Madar Birds, the Phoenix unit, and the 412th separate brigade Nemesis. As a result, occupied Crimea now faces power outages, fuel shortages, and disrupted logistics. Ukrainian defense forces also struck targets near Kerch, Feodosia, and Sevastopol, including reports of a bridge over the North Crimean Canal being destroyed.

This operation marks a critical step for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, as the destroyed assets directly undermine the enemy’s military capabilities. — Robert Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces

Damage to such infrastructure is likely to complicate Russian troop supply lines, potentially reshaping the conflict’s strategic landscape. Given the operation’s scale, similar strikes may become a recurring tactic for Ukrainian forces as they push back against aggression in the east.

In a related development, the effectiveness of Ukraine's drone operations is underscored by a recent strike that targeted 36 Russian military assets across the southern and eastern fronts. This coordinated effort highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Russian forces and emphasizes the strategic importance of unmanned systems in the conflict.
