Heroism in Bydgoszcz

In Bydgoszcz, Poland, a native of Sloviansk, Oleksandr, saved two nine-year-old sisters who found themselves in the water after the ice on the Bydgoszcz Canal broke. The incident occurred while the girls were playing near the water and got into a dangerous situation. Oleksandr was passing nearby and, noticing that the sisters needed help, quickly reacted. He used a long branch to reach the children and pull them from the water.

The second rescuer was an elderly man who also came to help in time. He pulled the girls out using his own scarf, which became another example of human kindness and the willingness to help in a difficult situation.

The importance of mutual assistance

It is worth noting that on January 6, a video began to circulate in which the children sang the anthem of Ukraine. This video dates back to 2023 and became especially popular after the publication by Dariusz Matecki, a politician from the 'Law and Justice' party. The politician expressed regret that the video turned out to be real and not generated by artificial intelligence, highlighting the importance of this moment for society.

This event underscores not only the heroism of individuals but also the importance of mutual assistance in difficult situations. Oleksandr and the other rescuer became an example of how quick action can save lives. The incident also serves as a reminder of the need for caution near water bodies, especially during the winter period when ice can be dangerous.
