World boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk uses public platforms to draw attention to the war in Ukraine. Before the fight for the title of absolute world champion against Daniel Dubois, he once again condemned Russia's crimes, appealing to the international community.

At a media Monday event in London, Usyk took part in the presentation of the restored mosaic 'Boriviter' in Trafalgar Square. This was a symbolic step by the boxer, who reminded of the tragedies happening in Ukraine every day.

«This is another chance to tell the world what is happening in Ukraine. Russia is killing my compatriots, destroying homes, schools, hospitals – civilian infrastructure. Russia wants to own not only Ukraine but the whole world,» Usyk emphasized.

Support from the Security Service of Ukraine before the fight

The Security Service of Ukraine addressed world champion Oleksandr Usyk before his rematch against Daniel Dubois. A joint photo of Usyk with the head of the SBU, Vasyl Maliuk, appeared on the official Telegram channel of the SBU, accompanied by supportive text for the Ukrainian boxer.

«All of Ukraine is with you today, champion! Oleksandr, in the ring today you are not just a fighter, but an example for all of Ukraine that never surrenders,» the message says.

The Usyk - Dubois rematch will take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London, where the title of absolute heavyweight champion will be at stake. The fight will be broadcast via Megogo and DAZN services.

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk actively uses his voice and public appearances to draw attention to the situation in Ukraine and condemn Russia's actions. The support he receives from the Security Service of Ukraine underscores the significance of his fight not only in the ring but also for justice and peace in Ukraine.
