Deadly Accident Shakes Irpin Community
An eight-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a Mercedes-Benz Atego truck while crossing a pedestrian crossing without traffic lights in Irpin on May 12. The child was rushed to a hospital but later died from her injuries. The driver, a 51-year-old man, was making a right turn at the intersection of Tsentralna and Dontsova streets when the collision occurred.
Emergency services received the report of the crash at 8:00 AM. Following the incident, the driver was detained under Article 208 of Ukraine’s Criminal Procedure Code.
