Today, protests took place in Italy, during which people spoke out against the Israeli operation in Gaza and expressed support for Palestine. They blocked roads to ports in various cities across the country, including Milan, Bologna, and Naples, demanding an end to the transportation of arms to Israel through Italy.

Police in other cities faced demonstrators who were demanding recognition of the Palestinian state and expressing their dissatisfaction with the Italian government's stance on the conflict. At the same time, other countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have recognized Palestine, which elicited a reaction from Israel.

“The right-wing government of Italy, led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, is a traditional supporter of Israel in Europe and has refused to recognize the Palestinian state as other Western countries have done.”

Overall, the protests in Italy reflect the unfolding conflict between supporters of Palestine and Israel, as well as the citizens' dissatisfaction with the government's policy on this issue, which is impacting international relations.
