The new bridge to Pasichna in Ivano-Frankivsk may be opened for vehicles as early as August. The main works on the site have been completed, but the city is still awaiting the commissioning of the junction for traffic to begin. This is reported by Galka.

The bridge to Pasichna in Ivano-Frankivsk is ready for launch

Mayor Ruslan Marcinkiv reported that road markings have been applied, signs installed, and sidewalks arranged on the crossing. Only minimal preparatory work and the formal procedure for putting the facility into operation remain.

«As soon as we have this document, we will open traffic on the bridge to Pasichna,» said Marcinkiv.

The city authorities expect to complete all procedures before the start of the academic year. This should reduce the load on other roads when the number of trips in the city traditionally increases from September 1st.

After the crossing is opened, buses are planned to be launched across it. Meanwhile, a specific route has not yet been chosen. The city hall wants to first evaluate the actual flow of vehicles and passengers, and only then determine the most convenient scheme.

According to the mayor, the bus could connect Pasichna with the city center or go towards Cascade. The final decision will depend on the traffic after the bridge opens.

The new crossing is expected to provide another exit from the microdistrict and relieve existing routes. However, the exact date for the start of traffic depends on the completion of the documentation for the facility.

As a reminder, in Ivano-Frankivsk, the number of public transport has been reduced.
