KP «Kyivpastrans» has announced a recruitment for free training of future tram drivers. The course will start on September 15, 2026, and will last for 12 weeks. After training, graduates will receive a state qualification certificate and will be able to find employment at the company. This is reported by the KCSA.
Training is conducted by specialists from the Educational Course Combine of «Kyivpastrans». The program includes theoretical classes and practical driving of the vehicle.
Free Driver Training in Kyiv Starts September 15, 2026
The main recruitment has been opened for future tram drivers; however, the company is constantly forming groups for other transport professions.
At «Kyivpastrans», they train:

tram drivers;
-
trolleybus drivers;
-
bus drivers.
«In addition to the tram driver profession, those interested can also obtain the profession of a trolleybus and bus driver,» said the acting general director of KP «Kyivpastrans», Tetiana Tarasko.
Free training can be undergone through the Employment Center referral or within the company’s internal programs.
After completing the course, graduates receive a state-standard certificate of vocational qualification and are offered employment opportunities. In 2025, 184 people completed the training, and since the beginning of 2026, there have been 109. Most graduates work as public transport drivers in the capital.

The company is also looking for locksmiths, electric gas welders, painters, dispatchers, lift operators, and other workers in repair and technical professions.
Employees are offered official employment, stable salary, social guarantees, shift schedule, paid vacation, transportation to the workplace, and free travel on surface public transport.
According to the legislation, there is a possibility of employee reservation. In the absence of medical contraindications, employment of people with disabilities is provided for.
