On June 25, municipal services in Odesa will carry out repair work on several streets of the city. Due to the updates to the road surface, sidewalks, and tram infrastructure, there may be temporary traffic difficulties and changes in traffic organization on certain sections. This is reported by the Odesa City Council.
Road Repairs in Odesa: Where Special Equipment Will Be Working
The largest volume of work is planned on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue and Akademik Zabolotny Street. Here, road workers will repair sidewalks, the driving lane, as well as the areas near intersections and public transport stops.
The work will be carried out:
- on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue - from Kyshynivska Street to David Oistrakh Street;
- on Akademik Zabolotny Street - from Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue to Krymska Street.
Repair teams will also work on Hretska Street, 3rd Airport Lane, Mykhailo Boltenko Street, and Kosmonavtiv Street.
Traffic Restrictions in Odesa May Also Occur Near Tram Tracks
Separate work is planned at the 7th station of Lustdorf Road, where tram tracks will be repaired. On this section, temporary inconveniences may arise for both drivers and passengers of public transport.
The city council recommends that drivers take into account the ongoing road works when planning their routes. This will help avoid traffic jams and reduce travel time.
Regular updates to the road infrastructure are part of the seasonal repair campaign in Odesa. During the summer period, municipal services traditionally perform the largest volume of work, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions.
