Russian drones attacked Odessa and Balakleya
On the night of August 4, the residents of Odessa received an unpleasant surprise - Russian drones caused explosions in the city center and in Peresyps. Mayor Gennady Trukhanov announced this to the public.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, kamikaze drones were observed over the Black Sea, moving in a northwestern direction.
At around 02:05, the mayor of Odessa reported explosions. According to him, 'shaheds' were spotted in the city center and in Peresyps.
Local Telegram channels spread videos of the strikes and reported a fire that occurred after the attack.
Attacks in Balakleya and Kharkiv region
Not only Odessa suffered from drone attacks, but also Balakleya, Kharkiv region. On the night of August 1-2, Russian terrorists attacked a civilian industrial enterprise, which led to a fire. This was reported by the head of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At midnight on August 1, Russian forces struck the Kharkiv region, destroying a children's psychiatric boarding school. Military chief Sergey Starikov confirmed this information.
It is also worth noting that Kharkiv and the region often become targets of attacks from Russia. For example, even on the night of July 30, the city was again affected by drone attacks, leading to a fire and destruction.
Intensified attacks by Russian drones on Odessa, Balakleya, and Kharkiv region indicate the danger that Russia poses to Ukraine. The mentioned events are just part of the escalation of the situation in eastern Ukraine, where an armed conflict continues between Ukrainian forces and Russian occupiers.
