Elimination of the consequences of rocket strikes in Odesa
In the Odesa region, efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of massive rocket strikes on port and logistics infrastructure. The enemy attacked port infrastructure in Odesa with ballistic missiles at night. Currently, eight deaths and around 30 injuries have been reported. After 8:00 a.m., new strikes were recorded on the Yuzhny port, including missiles hitting storage facilities.
Medical teams, rescuers, and pyrotechnic units are working at the scene. Port workers continue to fulfill their duties despite the risks to ensure uninterrupted maritime logistics. Measures are also being taken to restore logistics activities after the bridge near Mayaky was destroyed.
“We continue to coordinate the work of all necessary services in Ukraine to ensure continuous transportation and delivery of goods and services for the residents of the region. We have the ability to ensure the passage of emergency services, transportation for food delivery, cash collection, postal transportation, and other urgent cargo. We cannot disclose all details for security reasons, but the main task is to maintain a stable humanitarian situation in the region. We are working on it,”emphasized Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development.
Ukrposhta continues to deliver parcels, pensions, and social payments in the usual mode. Due to security considerations, certain details cannot be disclosed publicly, but the humanitarian situation in the region remains under control. Rescue operations continue around the clock. Ukrzaliznytsia, the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, and international partners are involved in the liquidation of the consequences.
Preliminary results: as a result of rocket strikes on port infrastructure in Odesa, eight people have died, and about 30 have been injured. All necessary services are working at the scene to eliminate the consequences, ensuring uninterrupted maritime and logistics activities in the region. A stable humanitarian situation is ensured, and planned work continues without interruption for infrastructure restoration.
