About 50 UAVs attacked Donetsk: a massive strike on the occupiers' energy sector

Близько 50 безпілотників вразили енергетичну інфраструктуру ворога в Донецьку.

In the evening of December 3, the city of Donetsk, under occupation, was attacked by drones, reports the local Telegram channel 'Typical Donetsk'. As a result of the attack, about 50 drones flew over Donetsk and Horlivka. The main target of the attack was the energy infrastructure of the occupied part of the region.

Consequences of the attack

After the drone strike on the city of Donetsk, the Voroshilovskyi and Kyivskyi districts were partially left without electricity. The further consequences of this attack are still being assessed.

'On the night of November 18, in Zughres, strike UAVs targeted the Zuivska TPP. A transformer of the second boiler was hit and put out of operation. Following the explosions, there were problems with electricity supply in occupied Donetsk, Makiivka, and Ilovaisk,' reported the Telegram channels of the DPR.

It is worth recalling that earlier, on the night of November 17, drones also attacked Donetsk, leading to a blackout across the entire city. As a result of the attack, the Chaykino substation of 330 kW was damaged, leaving many areas of the city without power, and in some areas, a fire even broke out.

Previous attacks on the city

It should be noted that earlier, in September and October, attacks by drones and explosions were also recorded in the city. Among the targets hit were the former 'Topaz' factory and the 'Sigma' hypermarket. As a result of these attacks, buildings were damaged, and the electricity grid was disrupted in various parts of the city.

The consequences of drone attacks on occupied Donetsk have significant impacts on the energy infrastructure and the lives of local residents. Attacks continue, and the situation remains tense.
