The executive committee of the Oleksandriya City Council on January 29 made a decision on increasing the fare for city public and private bus transport. Within the city, the maximum fare has been set at 15 hryvnias. This is reported by Persha Electronic Newspaper.

On suburban routes No. 81/2, 81/3, and 81/4, which connect the city with the Oleksandriyskiy settlement, the fare will be 20 hryvnias. The decision applies to all bus routes within Oleksandriya.

Fare increase in Oleksandriya: how the price was formed

As explained by the head of the economy department, Rostyslav Cherevashko, carriers submitted calculations with higher rates — over 19 hryvnias in the city and 27 hryvnias towards the Oleksandriyskiy settlement. After reviewing the documents and analyzing passenger traffic, the economically justified fare was determined to be 15.95 hryvnias in the city and up to 21.30 hryvnias on suburban routes.

As a result, the relevant committee recommended lowering these figures, and the executive committee supported the tariffs:

  • 15 hryvnias — fare within the city;

  • 20 hryvnias — fare on routes to the Oleksandriyskiy settlement.

New tariffs for buses in Oleksandriya: when will they take effect

Mayor Serhiy Kuzmenko noted that the city has maintained a constant fare for almost four years, but during this time, the carriers' costs for fuel, spare parts, and labor have significantly increased. This, according to him, directly affects the ability to maintain the transport in proper technical condition.

The new fares for bus rides in Oleksandriya will come into effect on February 9.

We remind you that a unified ticket form for public transport has been implemented in Ukraine.
