Ukraine opened a new vice-consulate in the Polish city of Rzeszów, which is expected to serve about 60 thousand Ukrainians in several counties of the region. This is already the sixth consular institution of Ukraine in Poland and an important step in expanding access to services for our citizens abroad. This was reported by "Visit Ukraine".
What services can Ukrainians receive at the new consulate in Poland
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the vice-consulate will soon operate in full mode and will provide a standard list of consular services, including:
-
document processing and notarization
-
consular registration
-
citizenship issues
-
other administrative procedures necessary for Ukrainians abroad.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga emphasized that the state must guarantee the protection of citizens regardless of their location.
«Ukrainians should know: the consul is nearby, the state is nearby, their interests will be represented, and their rights will be protected», — he noted.

A vice-consulate was opened in Poland to support Ukrainians in border regions
The new institution will operate for residents of Rzeszów, Przemyśl, Jarosław, and Bieszczady counties — a region that played a key role in assisting Ukraine in the first months of the war. During the opening, Sibiga presented the "Amber Heart" awards to the rescuer city of Rzeszów and the voivode Teresa Kubas-Gul for their support of Ukrainians.
Earlier, we reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine provided clarification on the procedure for issuing a Returnee Certificate, known as the "white passport", for citizens who found themselves abroad without a valid foreign passport.
