Member of Parliament Roman Gryshchuk has presented a bill to the Verkhovna Rada that proposes new conditions for providing deferrals from mobilization for education workers and students. This bill serves as an alternative to the government proposal, offering a number of important changes.

According to the new bill, the right to deferment from conscription during mobilization will be granted to employees of educational and scientific institutions who work at least 0.75 of a full-time position. Among them are researchers, lecturers, and teachers of various levels of educational institutions. For students, the conditions for deferments will be determined based on their age and form of study.

'The alternative bill proposes clarifications on the categories of pedagogical and scientific workers and students who can receive deferments from mobilization, to ensure the continuity of the educational process and research work, as well as the implementation of state educational programs.'

Roman Gryshchuk believes that the government bill does not take into account the specifics of different categories of educators and students, therefore his initiative is aimed at improving legislation in this area.
