Ukrainian officials are actively discussing the possibility of limiting the amounts of land privatization for certain owners. According to the idea, there is a proposal to establish a limit on the amount of land that one person can own.

Land privatization should be limited to avoid market monopolization and ensure economic stability.

Leonid Kozachenko, president of the 'Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation', emphasized the necessity of adopting a law that would limit land privatization to no more than 0.5% of the total area of agricultural land in the country for each owner. This will help avoid market imbalances and support competitiveness.

It should be noted that a similar approach is practiced in the USA, where the limit on ownership by one person is 0.5% of the total land. Kozachenko urged Ukraine to take similar measures to protect the market from monopolization and keep land resources in the hands of the majority.

This initiative aims to create healthy competition and maintain an open land market.
