Starting from April 1, payments of a one-time cash assistance of 1500 UAH for socially vulnerable categories of the population have begun in Ukraine. Funds will be transferred automatically without additional applications. This is reported by "UNIAN".
Payments of 1500 UAH in April: who will receive assistance
As reported by Yulia Svyrydenko, assistance will be provided to several categories of citizens:
-
retired citizens
-
persons with disabilities
-
low-income families
-
recipients of basic social assistance
-
internally displaced persons among the payment recipients
-
large families
-
single mothers
If a person belongs to several groups, they will receive the payment only once.
The money will be transferred during April to bank accounts or delivered through "Ukrposhta". There is no need to submit applications or contact social protection authorities.
Social assistance in Ukraine: why payments were introduced
According to the Prime Minister, the program aims to support citizens who are most affected by the rising fuel prices and increasing costs of basic goods and services.
She noted: "The program is designed to support those who, considering their income levels, feel the impact of rising global fuel prices.".
The introduction of this payment is part of a broader social policy. Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky announced new support programs for pensioners and fuel consumers.
In particular, there is a parallel fuel cashback program that allows Ukrainians to receive partial compensation for refueling expenses.
Previously, we wrote that pensioners in Ukraine may face serious financial losses due to mistakes in their pension affairs. These mistakes can lead to monthly pension reductions of 20 to 4000 UAH, which can last for years. To verify the correctness of pension calculations, two documents from the Pension Fund must be provided, which, it should be noted, are provided free of charge.
