The conditions of martial law in Ukraine lead to regular document checks at checkpoints, where military personnel and law enforcement officers verify identity documents, vehicle documents, and military papers. According to the government's resolution, the stopping of vehicles must be justified, and the driver has the right to ask for explanations regarding this check. However, in practice, they often check the passport, driver's license, insurance, and, of course, military documents, which are currently especially valuable.

Employees of the TCC cannot check documents independently, only together with police officers, and all their actions must be recorded on body cameras. This is an important part of measures aimed at ensuring control and security under martial law conditions.

Draft dodgers are expected after the war

We remind you that draft dodgers are expected regardless of when the war ends.

In short, under martial law, Ukrainian checkpoints have become places for frequent document checks, including military documents that have gained significant importance. Drivers are advised to be ready to present all necessary documents during such checks.
