German company Quantum Systems expands its operations in Ukraine by opening new production facilities at secret sites. This collaboration combines the combat experience of Ukrainian military personnel with secure German technologies. This was reported by 'Glavcom' citing Politico.
The production of reconnaissance drones, Vector, in the country started with the beginning of the invasion, and since then Quantum Systems has opened several enterprises in Ukraine. The company's director, Matthias Lena, noted that the presence in Ukraine is critical for any drone manufacturer, as all innovations in this field come from Ukraine, not from Silicon Valley.
Testing and improving technology in military conditions
Currently, Quantum Systems is testing a new Vector drone equipped with the WASP acoustic sensor to detect enemy weapons by sound. The company collaborates with Ukrainian military units to test new technologies in real conditions.
The Ukrainian government is implementing the DotChain Defense procurement system to streamline the supply of equipment to the front and combat corruption. Quantum Systems mitigates risks by distributing production between Ukraine and Europe, which allows increasing the production of drones to 80 units per month in Ukraine.
Ukrainian military personnel also have the opportunity to use new long-range weapons - the 'Flamingo' cruise missiles, which are meant to hit targets at a distance of over 3000 kilometers.
The announcement of the expansion of drone production in Ukraine by Quantum Systems indicates active cooperation between German and Ukrainian partners in the field of military equipment. Such collaboration promotes the emergence of cutting-edge technologies and enhances Ukraine's defense capabilities, as well as allows for more effective implementation of new models of drones and weapons for military operations.
