Ukrainians have been presented with fresh prices for young potatoes and cabbage in mid-summer, as shown by data from the Minfin portal.
Young vegetables have become more accessible in supermarkets, allowing most Ukrainians to purchase them. According to the portal data, prices for young potatoes and cabbage have significantly decreased compared to June.
The price for young cabbage dropped from 30.32 hryvnias per kilogram in June to 21.46 hryvnias in July, which is a decrease of almost 30 percent. This price drop is linked to the new harvest and an increase in supply from local producers.
Prices for young cabbage differ among various retail chains: from 18.89 to 27.90 hryvnias per kilogram.
The price for young potatoes decreased from 47.99 to 25.79 hryvnias per kilogram. The highest price is fixed in Auchan at 33.90 UAH/kg, while the lowest is in Metro at 20.59 UAH/kg.
The best place to buy young potatoes is in the Metro chain for 20.59 UAH/kg, and in Novus for 22.89 UAH/kg.
