The government increases funding for farmers in frontline areas: who will receive assistance

The government is expanding financial support for rural producers in the territories of frontline regions. Now, investments in orchards and greenhouses will be supported through grants, and subsidies for hectares with perennial crops have also been increased. The Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Oleksiy Sobolev, noted that such steps will help maintain jobs, increase the area of cultivated crops, and ensure a stable volume of agricultural production.

Within the framework of the grant program, a total compensation limit for the cost of planting seedlings will be set at 400,000 UAH per hectare for all crops, and the differentiation of grant amounts depending on the type of crop has also been canceled. The new co-financing conditions allow entities to receive up to 80% of the cost of the seedling planting project or greenhouse construction in areas with possible or active hostilities. The government has also increased budget support for hectares under perennial crops in these territories.
