In Ukraine, 5G testing has been expanded: who will be able to use it

In Kyiv, based at the National Aviation University (Khai), the first university space with a pilot project for the use of 5G connectivity has been opened. Now students, teachers, and guests of the university can use fifth-generation internet with speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s, latency of less than 1 ms, and access for everyone using 5G devices and Vodafone SIM cards.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasized that the launch of the 5G university space is an important step for the development of the telecommunications industry in Ukraine. It is planned that full-scale 5G testing in Lviv will take place as early as October-November 2025. The new technology will improve the quality and speed of communication in Ukraine, despite the challenges of war and shelling. And very soon, open banking will be launched in the country.
