The medical screening network has expanded to 12 regions of Ukraine
The project 'Support for Efforts to Combat Tuberculosis in Ukraine', funded by the US government and implemented by the PATH organization, has been successfully operating for six years. During this time, a powerful medical screening network has been established in 12 regions of the country. Chief Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin reported that the project has reached over 100,000 Ukrainians.
As part of the program, screening is conducted not only for tuberculosis but also for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, and mental disorders. The effectiveness of the project is confirmed by the fact that of the more than 100,000 individuals who underwent examinations, more than a quarter were referred for additional medical procedures.
It has been reported that assistance in combating tuberculosis has spread to 12 regions of Ukraine thanks to the project 'Support for Efforts to Combat Tuberculosis in Ukraine', which operates under the guidance of the PATH organization and with the support of the US government. It has been announced that many Ukrainians have already taken advantage of the opportunity to undergo medical screening as part of this project.
