24 thousand dangerous toys found in Ukraine
The State Consumer Service reported that during 2025, 24 thousand dangerous toys were detected that could be harmful to children. Inspectors identified 55 types of dangerous products, of which 28 are children's toys.
Laboratory studies confirmed possible risks: allergic reactions, poisoning, toxic effects on health related to the presence of harmful substances, as well as dangerous designs of toys.
The State Consumer Service recommends that parents be careful when choosing toys for their children. Among the advice is checking the labeling, absence of harmful chemical odors, reliability of parts, and absence of sharp edges.
- Check the labeling and the presence of a safety mark.
- Choose toys without chemical odors and sharp corners.
- Buy products only from reputable stores.
- Be mindful of dangerous small parts and the noise level of the toy.
Fighting dangerous products
The Deputy Head of the State Consumer Service emphasized the importance of timely withdrawal of dangerous products from circulation to prevent negative consequences for children's health. Additionally, the 'Attention' website provides information about dangerous products to avoid them during purchases.
Let's remind that earlier, the service conducted research on more than 700 thousand samples of drinking water across the country, revealing serious violations that could be harmful to the health of the population.
