Ukrainian elderly people will receive additional support from the state. The Pension Fund of Ukraine announced the conditions for receiving pension supplements.
In particular, to receive a pension from the age of 65, one must have the appropriate work experience: for women - 30 years, for men - 35 years. The pension amount for this category of citizens is 40% of the minimum wage, which is 3200 hryvnias or actually 3370 hryvnias with a minimum wage of 8000 hryvnias.
If the pension is lower than the established minimum, the difference will be compensated by the state automatically.
Moreover, pensioners will receive additional payments depending on their age: 300 hryvnias for those aged 70 to 74, 456 hryvnias for persons aged 75 to 79, and 570 hryvnias for pensioners aged 80 and older. These allowances are intended to provide additional social support for the older generation and are automatically granted upon reaching the appropriate age.
The Pension Fund also clarified which citizens should immediately reapply for subsidies.
The government of Ukraine has established additional support in the form of pension supplements for elderly citizens. They receive support upon reaching the appropriate age and have the opportunity to receive additional age-related payments. This initiative is aimed at improving the social protection of elderly people in Ukraine.
