Declaration of firearms in Ukraine
Ukraine continues the procedure of voluntary declaration of firearms that have been found by citizens or obtained by them. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 11 thousand units of firearms and over 5 million ammunition have already been declared.
To submit a declaration for firearms or ammunition, one can visit the units of the National Police of Ukraine. 'To do this, you need to come with the weapon and necessary documents (written application; passport; identification code; extract of residence/registration; photo 3.5x4.5) to the nearest police station, after which you will wait for the corresponding decision,' the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.
The message from the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms that the procedure for declaring firearms is voluntary and continues to operate in Ukraine. Citizens have the opportunity to file a declaration at the nearest police unit by providing the necessary documents and waiting for the corresponding decision.
